Cleaning Service “Fair Usage”

Fair usage in terms of our cleaning service means- cleaning your social rooms, to the standard one would reasonably expect of a hotel that enjoys a reputation for being clean, free from clutter, well maintained and presented. It also means a recognition that general wear and tear will impact on the results of all our Deep Cleans, including specialist services (Carpets, Conservatories, Ovens, etc).

Accordingly all our operatives are instructed to leave immediately, without commencing the work, if the requirements fall outside our

  1. Interpretation of the Fair Usage Policy as outlined above. (For the avoidance of doubt, the final say as to what is or isn’t fair will rest with the operatives on site)

Ironing Service “Fair Usage”

Fair usage in terms of our ironing service means – we collect the clothes from you in accordance with our Box Rules. Compliance with this is essential if we are to be able to offer a discounted service, free collection and delivery, as well as maintain our desire to deliver high standards.

30ltr Box rules

General points

  • 30ltr Box should be clearly marked with your details.
  • If you provide your own 30ltrbox/hangers/covers they must all be clearly marked
  • All items must be
    • Clean
    • Dry
    • Turned the right way round
    • Sleeves pulled out
    • Shirts and blouses should be unbuttoned
    • All items folded into the box.

Maximum Limits

  • A box generally contains an average of 16 items of normal daywear. Jeans, T-Shirts, Jumpers, Casual Wear, etc.
  • Each 30 litre box can contain a total maximum combination of 4 of the following items. For example 3 pairs front-creased trousers and 1 blouse, or 1 long dress, 1pair trousers and 1 work shirts.
    • Smart work/school, shirts or blouses (returned on hangers in protective covering*)
    • Smart work/school, front-creased trousers/skirts (returned on hangers in protective covering*)
    • 2 Long Dresses
    • 2 Formal Shirts

*Please note: Additional items will charged for at the following rates

  • Shirts/blouses £1.50
  • Font creased-Trousers/Dresses 2.00
  • Long/Maxi dresses 3.00
  • Formal Shirt £3.00
  • Boxes provided by 1st Class incur a charge of £5.00
  • Hangers provided by1st Class incur a charge of 20p
  • Covers provided by1st Class incur a charge10p

* All above items which are returned in a reusable condition will be refunded. (Our decision on what is reusable is final)

Non – refundable returns

  • Damp clothes will be returned un-ironed and will incur the full charge
  • Overly tumble dried/creased items will be returned un-ironed and will incur the full charge
  • Items requiring specialist attention (such as silk, Chiffon etc.) will be returned un-ironed and incur the full charge

Additional Charges

In the extremely unlikely event of any of the above occurring a full refund will be given immediately – less the following charges.

  • Collection/Delivery £10
  • Returned ironing £1.50 per item
  • Team cost (includes wages, mileage, etc – but not company costs)
